The holy father of Imam-e-Asr A.S was our 11th Imam , Hazrat Hasan Askari A.S who was born in Madina on friday the 10th of Rabiul-Akhar. Imam Ali Naqi A.S named Him Hasan Bin-Ali which was the name the Holy Prophet S.A.W had chosen for His 11th successor. Imam Hasan Askari A.S had many titles but the most famous of His epithets was Askari and that was because the district and area where he stayed in Samarrah (Iraq) was called Askar. It was to this place Imam Ali Naqi A.S was compelled to come when the wicked king Motawakkil forced Him to leave Madina and at this departure from the holy city of His grandfather Imam Hasan Askari A.S was only 4 years old.
His holy father Imam Hadi A.S married Him to the Janabe Nargis Khatoon who was the princess of Rome but had miraculously been brought to Imam Naqi A.S in Samarrah (Iraq). After the wedding of His holy son , Imam Ali Naqi A.S was martyred on the 3rd of Rajab in 254 A.H and now his son Imam Hasan Askari A.S succeeded Him as the 11th Imam of the Shias and as his holy father and his forefathers He devoted himself to guiding his followers and to the complete caretaking of the mission of the Holy Prophet S.A.W. The most joyful moment of His life was when his holy son Imam Mehdi A.S was born in 255 A.H but due to the fear that the enemies of the Ahlul-Bayt might kill him , his birth was kept secret and revealed only to some of his most trustworthy devotees.
When the Final successor was born Hazrat Jibraeel descended from Heaven to take Him with him for His upbringing. Imam Hasan Askari A.S had informed his nearest followers all about His holy son and appointed him to be the Final Imam and successor. When the cruel king Motamad Abbasi came to power he had nothing in mind but to terrorize the holy Imam to then kill him. He imprisoned Imam Hasan Askari A.S and this wasn't enough but he also ordered the jailer to torture the holy Imam inside the prison. But the Imam kept worshipping Allah and spend the days and nights in prayers and fasting. The Abbaside kings were aware of the prophecies of the Holy Prophet S.A.W about the final 12th successor who would bring a curse to the Abbaside Empire knew that this final Imam would be born through Imam Hasan Askari A.S who was the 11th Imam. Therefore they always kept an eye on the Imam and tried to prevent the birth of Imam Mehdi A.S but of course failed.
The holy Imam A.S endured the suffering and tortures inside the dungeons and was martyred by poison on the 8th Rabiul-Awwal in 260 A.H. Many of his followers mourned at His departure from this world. At the funeral of the Holy Imam Hasan Askari A.S , His brother, Jafar stepped forward to lead the prayer but just then the 5 year old Imam Mehdi A.S appeared and told his uncle to step aside because the funeral prayer of an Imam can only be conducted by an Imam. Imam Hasan Askari A.S was buried inside the shrine of his holy father Imam Ali Naqi A.S. Peace be upon Him
Our Living Imam A.S was given the crown of Imamat at the age of 5 and He is the Final Imam of the Shias who waits for His rearrival and pray to the Lord for this bright and hopeful day to come soon , very soon ... Ameen
